Settlement Support

About the program

What we do

Moving from Fiji to Victoria is a big change. Our settlement program offers practical, one-to-one support for newly arrived families - from finding housing and schools to navigating Centrelink, Medicare and visa pathways. We partner with the Victorian Multicultural Commission and AMES Australia to make sure no one walks the journey alone.

Arrival orientation

Welcome sessions covering housing, banking, public transport, healthcare, schools and work rights.

Casework

Confidential 1:1 casework with bilingual workers for the first 6–12 months of settlement.

Form-filling clinics

Drop-in help with Centrelink, Medicare, MyGov, tax file numbers and visa paperwork.

Community connections

Introductions to church, sports, school and cultural groups so new families feel at home quickly.
