About the program

What we do

We work with universities, TAFEs and industry partners to open doors for Fijian-Australian learners of every age. From homework clubs and exam prep for school students to scholarships, apprenticeships and adult re-skilling - we help our community access the opportunities Victoria has to offer.

Homework & tutoring

Weekly drop-in tutoring for years 7–12 in maths, English and science, run by university student volunteers.

Scholarships

FCAV scholarship fund plus partnered scholarships with Victoria University, La Trobe and Holmesglen TAFE.

Career nights

Industry panels covering trades, health, tech, public service and entrepreneurship.

Adult learning

English-language refresher classes, digital-literacy sessions and pathways into VET courses.

How to apply for an FCAV scholarship

    1. Check eligibility

    Open to FCAV members aged 16+ enrolled in (or about to start) accredited study in Victoria.

    2. Submit application

    One-page personal statement, proof of enrolment and a reference. Applications open each February.

    3. Panel interview

    Shortlisted applicants meet a small panel of FCAV committee and partner reps.

    4. Receive funding

    Successful applicants receive between $500 and $3,000 paid directly to course costs.
