About the program
What we do
Our qase carry the stories, the language and the wisdom of our community. The Seniors program creates regular opportunities for elders to gather, share kava, sing, eat together and stay socially connected - while linking them to culturally appropriate ageing, health and home-care services.
Weekly qase gatherings
Wednesday lunch and yaqona circle in Sunshine, with bus pick-up available across the western suburbs.
Storytelling project
Recording elders' stories of migration and culture - preserved as a community archive for future generations.
Aged-care navigation
Help understanding My Aged Care, home-care packages and culturally safe residential options.
Tech literacy
Friendly small-group sessions on smartphones, WhatsApp, video calls and online safety.
